No. While I’m a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern in Florida, this course is an educational experience, not therapy. The tools and insights are grounded in research and clinical training, but this course does not constitute or replace professional therapy. If you’re experiencing ongoing distress, significant trauma, or crises in your relationship, couples therapy may be a better starting point.

This course is ideal for dating, engaged, or newlywed couples who are committed to growing together. Whether you're planning a wedding or simply preparing for a long-term partnership, this course will walk you through core areas that set a relationship up for long-term success.

It’s a great fit if:

• You’re motivated to learn about yourself and your partner.

• You’re open to honest dialogue and reflection.

• You want to be proactive, not just reactive, in building a resilient, connected marriage.

The course contains 8 core modules plus optional bonus lessons, with over 4 hours of guided content, plus exercises and downloadable tools. Most couples take 4–6 weeks to complete it if doing 1–2 lessons per week. But it’s self-paced, and you have lifetime access to revisit it anytime.

This course may NOT be appropriate if you are:

• In an active crisis or considering separation/divorce.

• You are a high conflict couple that have difficulty having open and honest discussion without becoming defensive, hostile, or triggered.

• Experiencing significant betrayal or trauma that has not yet been addressed OR you have past betrayals that have not been processed and resolved.

• Hoping your partner will change without doing your own work. This is a proactive educational course—not a substitute for couples therapy or crisis intervention.

It’s strongly encouraged! While you can view the content individually, you’ll get the most benefit when you pause for the exercises, reflect, and complete the discussion prompts together. That said, if one of you is more motivated to begin, it may still spark powerful changes in how you approach your relationship.

That’s more common than you think. Try inviting them to watch the first lessons with you—it includes a personal story that often resonates deeply. Let them know this isn’t about fixing anything; it’s about building a foundation together. Motivation often grows once you start.

The core course is designed for couples from all backgrounds and belief systems. While some lessons include values-based reflection, they are not rooted in any one faith. However, a bonus lesson is available for couples who want to explore Christian marriage and scripture through the lens of grace, resilience, and commitment.

The course is available to couples anywhere! If you're in Florida, completing the course may make you eligible for a marriage license discount—just email me for your certificate of completion. If you're out of state, you still get full access to the course and can optionally add coaching sessions based on fit.

There’s no quick fix to relationships. This course offers tools, insights, and structure to help you grow in your commitment, communication, and connection. But just like anything worth building, your transformation depends on how you show up and what you do with the tools.

If you choose a coaching tier, you’ll receive access to the SYMBIS or Prepare-Enrich relationship assessment (value $35 that goes directly to their platform). After I invite you to take the assessment, you will each fill it out separately (usually takes around 40 minutes). After I receive your results, we will schedule a private virtual consultation to go over your personalized results and identify special focus areas in the course for your specific relationship. Higher-tier packages also include multiple coaching sessions to help you implement course content in a more tailored way. These coaching sessions are not therapy but are deeply insightful and practical. We will schedule the coaching sessions as you go through the course to process your special focus areas on a deeper level.

• SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) is a great fit for engaged or newlywed couples and includes a faith-based emphasis. It covers topics like personality dynamics, expectations, mindsets, and spiritual beliefs. It’s visually engaging, highly structured, and ideal for couples who appreciate a light but thoughtful tone grounded in Christian values.

• Prepare-Enrich is more flexible and comprehensive. It’s used with dating, engaged, or married couples and dives deeper into lifestyle habits, family of origin, finances, conflict styles, sexual expectations, and more. It’s well-suited for couples looking for a detailed relationship map and tailored support—whether faith-based or not.
